Solutions of many hydrological issues are based on knowledge gained in small research basins (Braunschweig Declaration). While some hydrological and ecologically related problems have become urgent only recently, others have been permanently under the observation of the hydrological community. Changes affecting the hydrological cycle, resulting from environmental changes caused by climatic fluctuations and human activities, represent issues of increasing importance. Hydrological modelling, forecasting and computation of hydrological characteristics in ungauged basins are of permanent relevance. Even if they are of highest interest, the interactions of surface and ground waters remain rather poorly known to date. All of these issues will be discussed during the conference. More specifically, the sessions will cover the following topics:
Call for abstracts
Participants who wish to contribute to the conference are invited to submit an extended abstract in English (max 4 А4 pages), indicating their preference for oral or poster presentation before March 2012. Abstract forms are available on the conference website Participation fee: The conference fee will be approximately 180 euros and will cover the expenses for the icebreaker reception (Monday evening), conference attendance, excursion, conference dinner (Wednesday), book of abstracts, refreshments and lunches during the conference. Accommodation: Participants will stay in the hotel of the conference Centre. The room charge (including “continental” breakfast) is 2500 rub. per night which is about 190-200 € for the whole period of the conference (three nights). An extension to the stay can be arranged upon request. Participants may also be accommodated in the nearby hotels within walking distance if necessary. The organizers will book the accommodation according to the participants’ requests.
